A Message from the Principal

Welcome to Coorara Primary School of Morphett Vale. On behalf of our community I extend you a warm welcome.

Coorara is a DfE (Department for Education) primary school catering for students from Reception through to Year 6. The school is set in beautiful grounds in Morphett Vale, a southern suburb of Adelaide. We share a site and a positive partnership with Coorara Preschool. We cater for around 210 students at our school.

Our school is a welcoming community. We are a small school community, where all members are valued and encouraged to participate fully in the life of the school.  Coorara is a school where children and their learning come first and people make a positive difference. Our school values of respect, honesty, team work, responsibility, caring and trust underpin everything we do at Coorara.

Coorara prides itself on its quality teachers, partnerships with families, excellent facilities and resources, extensive academic, extracurricular and wellbeing programs. The rich learning environment gives our students every opportunity to reach their potential. Coorara offers a well-rounded experience for students including a quality music program, many sporting opportunities, specialist Science lessons, a community garden program, healthy lifestyle program and an iPad program. We also offer high quality literacy and numeracy instruction, and the results speak for themselves. 

Our website will give you an overview of the School, however to experience the atmosphere of  Coorara and see our school in action I would invite you to visit the school on a normal school day. You will be able to observe our teaching and learning programs, see firsthand our iPad program and see our outstanding facilities.
