About Coorara Cubs
The early years are crucial to the learning experiences of all children.
Coorara Cubs provides children with the opportunity to:
- Transition smoothly from Preschoo to school
- Build onto the learning at Preschool
- Enrich early literacy and numeracy skills
- Build confidence and self esteem
- Establish quality relationships
This program assists our staff to get to know your child by:
- Finding out their individual interests
- Acknowledging what they have already learned
- Identifying areas of need
We also value you, our parents, as your child’s first and foremost educator and believe involvement in this initiative will assist us to establish positive relationships.

Who can be a Coorara Cub?
Children who:
- Have turned 4 years of age
- Have enrolled at Coorara Primary School
Why Join Coorara Cubs?
As part of the Coorara Cubs, your child will be involved in a play-based program that incorporates early literacy and numeracy skills, gross and fine motor development and opportunities to develop positive relationships with Coorara Primary School staff and students.
Our senior students become mentors for our new students through this initiative.
When do Coorara Cubs meet?
Every Thursday, in Term 3 & 4 for 10 weeks at 12.30pm to 2.30pm. Information & dates will come out in Term 2.
How Do I Enrol My Child?
To enrol, fill in the following forms and give, email or fax them to the front office:

- Student Enrolment Form
- Student Health Information Form
